Webasto and Green-G present the fully electric “ecarry” light truck

The German manufacturer Webasto is primarily known automotive auxiliary heaters. In recent years, however, in addition to roof systems and charging solutions, they have also built up expertise in the field of battery systems for the automotive sector.

This is exactly what Green-G, a subsidiary of the Italian Goriziane Holding S.p.A. needed. Using battery and thermal technology from Webasto, they brought their first municipal vehicle onto the market with the ecarry, a fully electric small truck.

With an N1 road approval and a maximum gross vehicle weight of 3.5 t, the ecarry can go up to 80 km/h on the road. A 35kW battery is included in the basic model, the premium version it is 70kW with 2 of these batteries. This allows a maximum range of 250km to be achieved.

The two companies want to minimize the noise and pollution in the area where municipal vehicles are used. “We want to enrich the world with innovative technological solutions that are in harmony with ecological sustainability. With Webasto, we have a partner for batteries and thermal management at our side who impresses us with the high quality of the products and services, ”says Alessandro Della Torre, project manager at Green-G. The ecarry is only intended to be the beginning, further electric vehicles have already been announced.
